Inter-Prievidza

This past weekend our team played Prievidza which is tied for first place in the league.
They also have my good friend Greg Immink on the team. However, Greg hurt his ankle and was unable to play in this game. Greg is perhaps the best player on this team and seems to make the team go. But, this team is very deep and we knew they were still a very good team without Greg but it was a game we really felt that we could win.
In the first quarter we came out of the gate and got some easy baskets and executed on our offensive plays.
Unfortunately as the game went on we could not sustain our performance from the first half. They seemed to get stronger as the game went on and we seemed to get weaker. THey had different players throughout the game step up and knock down shots and they executed better than we did. Execution is how you win basketball games and we need to do a better job of that.
We are currently in 10th place and the top 8 teams make the playoffs. We have 12 games remaining and I am still confident that we can make the playoffs and improve as the season goes on but we need to play better consistenly.

We have a cup Game tonight which should be fun and it will be nice to get back out on the court so soon after a tough loss.
