Inter 85 Spis. N. Ves. 70

This past game was a real step in the right direction for our team. We were playing an away game against a team who was in the top half of the league, on the road. We knew we were going to have to play some of our best basketball to win and playing on the road usually means playing against a hostile crowd as well.

We started out the game playing pretty good defense but we were missing some shots that we usually make. The only positive thing after the first quarter was that we were working hard, despite being down 20-13.

In the second quarter it was more of the same until the final two minutes. We went to a zone part of the way through the quarter and by the end of it we were causing turnovers and getting some easy baskets on the fast break. 5 of my 7 points in the second quarter came in about a minute just because of our defense.

At halftime we continued to talk about being aggressive on defense and it clearly showed in the second half as we pressured the ball even more and they struggled to find a way to score on us. The third quarter also marked perhaps the best quarter of basketball that I have played in Slovakia as I had 14 of my season high 28 points in the quarter. I connected on 3's and moves to the basket and scored on the fast break as well.

We added another Slovak national player who was very versatile and he caused a lot of problems for the defense which really helped our team and me get some baskets on the fast break.

I shot an unbelievable percentage. 11-15 from the field. It was probably the least amount of shots I have taken to score so many points. I have played better statistically as far as rebounds, assists and steals but I did feel like whenever I shot it, the ball was going in.

Hopefully we can continue this win streak and get something going into the rest of the season.
If you have any more questions hit me with an email and I will be glad to give you some details.

Cheers
