Update

Apologies for not getting some updates out sooner but my internet has been off for much of the last three weeks. Thankfully, I have internet right now. Here is a short summary of what has happened in the last 2 games for the Braves.

Two weeks ago we played a road game at Essen. Essen is probably one of the better teams out there with a record that is so poor. We felt like it was going to be a tough game and they have been playing better lately with the addition of a new big man. They are not a deep team so we hoped to hurt them with our depth and wear them down. We had a huge first quarter hitting four straight threes and built a 31-17 lead. Unfortunately, we let them right back in the game in the second quarter with just a 5 point lead going into halftime. The rest of the game was back and forth. In the final minutes it was a one possession game. With under 30 seconds to play we were down one point and we shot a three and I went in for the rebound tipping in what would end up being the games winning shot. Pretty exciting.

We were happy to escape there with a win even though we didn't play up to our standards for much of the game. This is what good teams do. When they are not playing their best they still find a way to win. Final Score: 95-94

This past weekend we played a home game agaisnt Heidelberg. I believe theya re the top scoring team in the league. Living on fast breaks and three pointers. It was touch and go in the first half but in the second half our defense was fantastic and they could only score 12 points in both the third and fourth quarters of the game. Final Score 94-67

We were very happy about how the game went because we limited a team taht often scores in the 100's and held them under 70. Quite a feat.

We currently are tied for third place and this weekend we play the second place team at home, which will surely be one of the best games of the season.
