Braves 78 Osnabruck 76

They Braves finally had a games last night after having a week and a half off. Playing Osnabruck was no easy task as they beat us on their home floor in overtime earlier this season.

We knew they would be a tough team to beat because of the large amount of three pointers that they shoot and the fact that they don't play with a regular basketball lineup. They often have 4 to 5 players out on the perimeter. Defensively they switched nearly all the screens and did a good jobs being active on defense.



We had been practicing hard and well the past few weeks even though we didn't play our best game. We still maintained our confidence throughout the game even when Osnabruck was coming back in the second half.

Unfortunately the game came down to the final shot. With six seconds left we had the ball and had to go the length of the court. We simply gave the ball to Whit and he took his time so he could shoot it as the buzzer went off and rattled in the game winning shot near the opposing teams bunch. It was a fantastic shot but I think I speak for most of the team that we were not suprised he hit the shot, we pretty much expected it.

This Sunday we have a big game against bayrueth. Two of the top teams in the league. We hope to play our best and if we do that I know we can win.




In the beginning of the game we maintained a double digit lead depsite playing more at Osnabruck's pace. We wanted to play a fast type of game but just had trouble getting it going.
