Big Game

It was a matchup of two of the top teams in the league.
We played the second place team Cuxhaven this past weekend at home and we should that we are definelty one of the best teams in the Pro A. It was a close game in the first quarter but after that the Braves flexed their muscles and controlled the game. We built as much as a twenty point lead in the game.

We had big scoring runs in the second quarter that changed the game. We were down at the beginning of the second and went in to the half up nine points. In the third quarter we continued to lengthen our lead and by the time the fourth quarter came aroudn it was up to us to manage the clock and keep the victory.

Every single player that participated did a great job. Walt Baxley contributed 29 points in the game and our defense stymied prety much their entire team. It was a great team victory and now we are two games from being in second place and two games in front of the fourth place teams.

We have this weekend off and the following week we have two games and two chances to avenge earlier season losses to Osnabruck and Bayreuth.
