Game Update

This past weekend we had a big game in Cuxhaven.
We went up the before to stay at a hotel since it was about a 9 hour bus ride.
It was a huge game for us as they only had one loss during the season.
We had a good week of preparation and were ready to play our best.

We started out the first few minutes a bit slow, down 11-4 but after that we really got rolling.
Walt Baxley heated up for us, he is a guy who can get hot and when he gets hot, we just give him the ball and let him do his thing. This is what Walt did for pretty much the entire game and Cuxhaven had no answer for him. He had about 25 points at halftime and we were up what seemed like 20 points. At that point they made a little run but all good teams make a run and we weren't really to worried.

I can see how Cuxhaven beat a lot of teams because they have a few real athletic players and I know they didn't shoot their best against us. However, I have to give our team credit because teams haven't seemed to shoot that well against us. We must be doing soemthing right.

We also got Mirko Damjanovic's best game of the early season, with 16 points on 5-9 shooting. This included 4 three pointers and a team high 11 rebounds. Everyone that got into the game made a positive contribution and I see us continuing to do so.

Our next game is this Saturday, another road test against Osnabruck. It should be a tough game because a road game in this league always is tough. I am confident that if we bring the intensity and energy that we did this past game we can continue our winning streak
