1-26-08 Tb Weiden Coocoon Baskets 81 Dachua Spurs 73

In a battle of two teams battling for solid position in the middle of the league this game was very important. We have been in the sixth position out of fourteen teams and needed to stay there with a win today. We played Dachua which boasts a dangerous team because they have the second leading scorer in the league, after me, in Calvin Wooten. A standout from Oakland University. We new we had to keep to him to about his average to be able to win and make sure that the other players didn't step up and hurt us.

The first quarter was close and the only real highlight was the fact that I had one of my best dunks of my career. I thought I may be done dunking for a while since I had only had one dunk on the season so far. We had a fast break and someone contested one of our players on the layup so he overshot the ball and it bounced over to the left side as myself and an opposing player were trailing the play. He was about 6'7". Anyway we both go up to get the rebound and I just went up higher catching the ball with two hands and throwing it down over the top with one. It was one of the best dunks of my life and it really surprised myself as well as my teammates but got us excited.

We went into halftime down two and we made a small comeback in the third to gain a three point lead going into the last quarter. Meanwhile Calvin and another player had been trading off guarding me the whole game and I did my best to try to draw fouls on him and whoever was guarding me. We were up by about 6 when Calvin got his fifth foul of the game with about four minutes to go and they really didn't have a chance after that. They had a total of four players foul out of the game.

I played a pretty consistent game scoring little by little throughout the game and finishing with 32 points, which is about my average. Calvin finished with 29 which is about one point above his average. Daniel Waldhauser really stepped up in the game for us and hit some big shots when we needed him finishing with 18 points.

So now we have won four in a row and look to continue to win against a tough team in Landsberg next week. Talk to you then.
