Sorry for the delay in postings but we do not have internet in our apartment yet. It should be coming soon.
I have now been here for three weeks. We were in 11th place when I got here and now are in a tie for 8th I believe. We are desperately trying to get to the top 6 teams before this round of league games ends. There are 9 games left in the round. If we make the top six then we are guaranteed to be in the playoffs in the spring.
If we do not make the top six then we are playing against the bottom six teams and the top two teams make the playoffs. Then we would play the 1 or 2 seed in the leauge.
Right now we have won 3 of our last 4 games and have a big game this weekend against the defending champs from last season who are currently one game out of first place. We feel that despite being a small team we can play solid defense and play and beat any team in the league as long as we play hard and do not lose focus or confidence. I feel like our team is starting to gain confidence in these past few games and hopefully we can finish this month with a victory and head into December with a boatload of confidence.
As far as myself I have been playing around 30 minutes a game and my stats have been all aver the board. I think this has been because I am still trying to figure out how I fit in with the team and when to pick my spots out on the court. For example, two games ago we won by two points and I had about 8 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. A pretty good all around game but I wasn't totally active on offense but I felt really good about how I played none the less. The next game we won and I had 21 points 8 rebounds and I don't know how many assists. I think for this team I will have games like these last two. Sometimes I may score twenty and some games I may score less than ten. Either way I am just trying to take care of the basketball and play solid defense and if they need me to be aggressive on offense I will do my best.
Hopefully I will be able to have another update up sometime soon when I get internet in my apartment.
Thanks,
Steve
